From "old" to brand new.....

Just finished restoring a Puch. Tore down a Maxi Sport with a ZA50 and turned it into a Maxi Luxe with an E50 for a someone that requested a restored ped from me. This is the second green one I've done....I'm kind of getting tired of the green!

Looks fantastic!

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

Doesn't even look like the same bike.

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

That looks great, good job!

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

Great job!!!! How long did that take??

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

With tear down, sandblasting, painting, & rebuilding, it took about a week and a half. Bike has a new speedometer that reads 12.2 miles, which is what I put on it today. It will be delivered to it's new owner tomorrow.

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Za! That's pristine, Shelly! (:

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

JD ... most of the parts on the bike are not new; they've simply been cleaned and polished to look new. New speedometer, seat, tires, grips and mirror. The wiring harnesses I remake myself, and the labor is not paid for; it's done by me.

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

Jimbo Grand Daddy /

Really. Send me the seat. I'll re-cover it at a reasonable price.

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

I recover them myself, Jimbo, but I use seat covers that are made for me with the Puch logo on the back. That seat looks awesome though - thanks for the offer.

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

I love to see builds like this.

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

Well I love green mopeds, and I love Shelly. So I'm ahead. (:

Yep, it's refreshing to see bikes done up like they're rollin' out of the store again. I won't let Shelly touch my bikes, because I'd never wanna scratch one afterward.

That seat cover was sewn with no machine. My hands, needle and thread.

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

Sell me the za50 you

swaped out of that!

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

The Za50 is going on my blue Tri Rad Mike.....sorry. The Tri Rad is painted, reassembled and ready to roll.....just need to rebuild the engine and put it on. It got put aside because of the above green Maxi. When the blue Tri Rad is finished, the red one will be restored back to new as well.

I still think you need that trike, Mike; it matches your Maxi :-)

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

I want a ride before you sell it! ^

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

J daddy how much to re do

the Red long seat I got from Treats

in Grey? It came w/ a small

hole in the right side.

I like the red but the

I think the Grey flow to

the ped will look better.

Thanks!

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

w/the new chrome

& red seat?

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

Got pm j daddy

Thanks.

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

Very nice, Shelly. It's good to have people like you around to keep everyone honest. Shelly=mopeds. Btw, that's the fatest single seat I've ever seen.

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

I hate the seat that's on it, Erik. They are the Maxi Luxe seats and are thicker than the normal Maxi seats. I typically recover the regular seats, but took a shortcut this time :-)

Re: From "old" to brand new.....

What gear on the rear snowflake?
