Trac moped idling problems

Emmett Turkey Deluxe Platter /

Goe a 95 trac clipper. It'll start and has decent speed. But when I slow down to a stop and idle it shuts off completely. Ive cleaned the carb and checked to make sure the lines were clear and replaced the spark plug. I have no idea why it wont idle. Please help!

Re: Trac moped idling problems

I think im having the same issue. If it is an issue with the idling screw how would I go about fine tuning the adjustment. Just put it on the stand, turn the screw, and let it run until... ?

Sorry for the noob questions. I have looked through the wikis.

Re: Trac moped idling problems

Ride the moped around the block a few times until it hits operating temperature. Now turn the idle screw so the engine idles nice and doesn't try to die, but low enough so that the clutch isn't engaging.
