Peugeot 101

Reeves Moreland /

Im new here - i have been looking for an 'old school' moped and found this one nearby. the guy says he bought it in 1975 while he was in Germany and shipped it here to the US. This is a 1972 model, he says, so I'm thinking it is a 101, but I'm not certain. I thought i would post it here in hopes of gaining more information before i decide to go look at it this weekend. He tells me it starts right up. It appears to have a replacement gas tank. I'm uncertain what else it might be missing - etc, and hoped everyone here could help educate me and offer opinions if a good buy or not...also - if purchased how difficult is it to gain parts for it, both for the body and the engine, etc. I like the old paint but dont like that the gas tank doesnt match haha....please offer any advise - opinions.

Re: Peugeot 101

I hope you got it for 12 bucks.....

you can find anything in the buy/sell forum.

Re: Peugeot 101

looks like a 101

those forks are WAY bent, but neat find.

Re: Peugeot 101

And that's the correct tank, if not the correct color.

Re: Peugeot 101

Ask away in Buy-sell.

Shouldn't take much.....just clear the paint..
