CHEAP disc for 5 stars...

Found this thread where a guy did some parts swapping and found that a sv650 rear brake rotor fits well on grimeca (puch) 5 stars with a little bit of filing. Plus, they're cheap on ebay, you just have to buy some bolts and may have to make a spacer depending on your fork setup.

Re: CHEAP disc for 5 stars...

did he mention what caliper he used?

How wide is that disc?

Re: CHEAP disc for 5 stars...

He did some fork/caliper off a CR50 or CR80.

Maize, sounds like it's 5mm from a quick search.

Ok cool. That won't warp to easily

Re: CHEAP disc for 5 stars...

11 pages. guess I've got my late-night reading.

Re: CHEAP disc for 5 stars...

I got one of these, for all the calipers I had in my shop a spacer would have to be made, and it just looked kind of sketchy, I figured it would cost more in time and money at a machine shop than one of micheal thomas' set ups, and half as good.

Re: CHEAP disc for 5 stars...

so bad it's almost good:

Re: CHEAP disc for 5 stars...

You're in luck because he doesn't mention the disc after the first page.

edit: nope, I was wrong. Page 6 he talks about a rear disc. (edited)

Re: CHEAP disc for 5 stars...

Here's a video he posted. Didn't watch it, but he probably talks about the disc brake. The monoshock ended up looking pretty boss.

Re: CHEAP disc for 5 stars...

Rear end is too high IMO. Maybe it sits down with weight?

Re: CHEAP disc for 5 stars...

ive been considering this

Re: CHEAP disc for 5 stars...

that monoshock looks silly. makes the bike look like a cat in heat with its ass in the air.

Re: CHEAP disc for 5 stars...

On topic post _ just check your local motorcycle junkyard for a disc that will bolt up :P everyone has one don't they ?

off topic

!

i just jelly maize, I saw your headlight you nabbed off a really new bike - something you posted forever ago. that is the most awesome projector headlight setup period!

The place sucks if you need specific parts but if you need to adapt something, place is amazing I guess a lot of it is for bigger bikes and new bikes though~
