garelli mystery!

got this garelli on craigslist for 70 bucks, i was told it didnt run because "clutch wont engage" so i was just going to buy it for something to tinker with, and i didnt mess with it before i bought it. it also has destroyed tires, and no top fork nut, and like, three broken spoke. (and a weeeee bit of rust in the tank, nothing unmanageable.) it was also missing the fairing under the seat... but i had one in my garage strangely enough.

got it home, and it runs! just needed the carb cleaned out. and the clutch wasnt engaging because he wasnt pulling the clutch lever -.-

so my question to you is, what is it? what year? what engine? there is no vin plate. (luckily i have one available to me).

any info will be appriciated. done a bit of searching already but cant find out everything

Looks to me like a Gran Sport? Have a look at the photo gallery. Either way, that's a sweet looking bike!

Re: garelli mystery!

she needs attention for sure.

once i get some tires on it, i might take the tank off and run an old murray tank until i get the rust out of this one. i think it would look kinda unique!

Re: garelli mystery!
