is it worth it to use a 50cc high compression head

Chris Davis /

is it worth it to use a 50cc high compression head on a tomos a35?

will I need to adjust the timing?

Re: is it worth it to use a 50cc high compression head

I havent milled the head on my a35 yet, but I can say it does add a noticeable increase in torque. I took .025" off of the head on my 1980 honda express and it definitely helped with the low end. Timing shouldnt really be an issue, but it will cause your cylinder to get hotter at high RPMs.

you get more torque but your shit gets hotter

thats a compression increase summed up.

yeah its worth it. its not that expensive or hard to put on, and def gives you some more low end boost. some people say it may hurt your top end but idk if thats really true or not

.015 is all you need. Machine your A35 head on a lathe. No timing needs to be done with the CDI. (edited)
