I just bought a 1978 Sport MKII.
This is in mint condition and a blast to ride.
This has only 53 miles on it.
I havent had one for over 25 years.
All I need to do now is find some one in the Riverside, Redlands area that knows how to work on them.

good call
Myron's mopeds plate.
2 speed, nice.
Riverside is swarming with riders that can help you work on your bike man.
I'm based out of Riverside but go to school in Pomona during the week. I can help you work on it if you bring it over to Riverside on the weekend. My place is pretty much the base camp for IE mopeds.
FIRST thing is I would stop riding it unless the shift dampners have been replaced by Shaun from Myrons. If you don't know if they have, let's pull it apart and replace them anyways. It's not worth destroying a gear because of $10 pucks.
Second thing I would do is drop the seat lower and farther back. Like I did here.
Third thing I would do is send in the registration paperwork.
How are the brakes on it? Tires cracking?
nice ped Gary - post some photos of your Targa in Off-Topic - you had to tease us with only a portion !
yay for another IE rider!!!
waitminnit--55 MPH? Stock or modified?
Needle bearing za50, 64cc polini, 4pedal, 21mm dellorto
This is all stock.
I bought at Myron's mopeds in Fullerton, California.
It was part of Shawn's collection in his shop.
That is awesome, I'll check out the site.
Thanks
That's great Jake, I would like to come by some time.
I do need to put in new pucks.
I still have the original tires on the moped and they are in great shape but I plan on putting on new tires and just save the original ones.
Thanks again.
Gary
