good first buy?

http://stlouis.craigslist.org/mcy/3043557124.html

I know there has been some posts on here about Indian mopeds, probably should have read those first. What do you guys think though, good first project 'ped??

Re: good first buy?

I think $350 is fair for a running moped. Don't expect to find many new parts of any performance parts for it. That said if you plan to keep it stock, it'll probably do for around town riding.

Re: good first buy?

pass

get a two stroke

Re: good first buy?

For $350, you should be able to find a good moped you'll be able to find parts for and upgrade, like a Puch, Tomos or something with a V1 on it. I would pass on it unless you're planning on an engine swap.

Re: good first buy?

Parts might be hard to come by .

Re: good first buy?

See if they would take 150.00 and make sure the brakes are good, pads are scarce.

Re: good first buy?

They may be slow but how exactly is a 4stroke Indian not a Moped?

Re: good first buy?

noway - free maybe - find and buy a Puch

Re: good first buy?

if you don't want to go past 30mph and never pre-mix gas then it's worth it, to me it's all what you plan on doing with it...
