so i picked this bike up bout a month ago. it has 588 orig miles. 1987 maxi starlet it has side covers that say starlet that i didnt have on it cause i had to put a new stator plate and clean the carb tune etc.
Anyone who knows anthing about this please do help i know they came in black and red. and 87 was the last year before puch sold the company. or any idea whats its worth. please help. (edited)

That thing is crazy. Is that all stock? I've never seen one like that. And, wow, that thing is FUGLY!
I like that rack on the tank, that's like a motron. Seat is ugly as hell.
Is it a kick start? That cylinder head looks interesting. Does it have points or a cdi?

it is completley stock. its a 87 it has points. i just had to put a new stator plate in cause there was some sort of failure. the only thing not on it in the pic is the side covers speedometer and pedals. i have since put all back on. no its not a kickstart. so drom what ive found these came in black and red. for one year only. i bougt it from the orig owner. the thing got rode for like 500 miles in 87 and thrown in storage and there it sat till i bought it a month ago. carb was clogged to hell and was a 12mm i have it soaking and put a 14mm on it so i could tune it. the orig owner said he had it imported from family overseas for his daughter, but who in the hell knows people like to tell stories. but i took the engine apart and its all orig and clean as can be figures with 500 miles on it. im about to sell it and just wanted to see if anyone knew anything about this thing.
also, seems like it's pretty much just like a macho maxi, which you can find more info on.
So sell it to Christopher, sounds like he was next in line.
i wish i could, but i don't have the cash or space right now. i can't afford running bikes, only broken ones. ;P that's why my garage is full of almost-running crap!

I think the electrical tape around the head had him scratchin.
Yeah I just looked at the picture on my computer instead of on my phone. It's just electrical tape. Also I thought the spark plug was angled but now I can see that it's just not threaded in.
euro-only model. if its 87 it might have been piaggio at that point. crazy fucking bike. probably one of a kind in the US. DONT change anything about it dude, except performance shit if you want. that thing is FUCKING RARE here.

it was on sac craigslist getting reposted for months on end. started at 700 each for this and a kreidler flory. eventually ended up at like 500 for the pair or something crazy like that. rare bike, rad bike, CHOPPAH.
i'll trade you a 45mph moby for it.
