I have a PA50 that does not have the decompression lever or cable intact on it. Is this something I'm going to have to fix in order to get the thing to run?
I've got experience working on 2-stroke stuff other than mopeds, but I've never seen one of these.
if your bike is stock, you should be OK without it. as long as the decomp unit on the head is in tact and has the spring (which holds it closed), you're golden.
My bike is kitted and I don't have the cable hooked up.
If valve is closed it is very possible to start, run without it. I have never used mine. It is present though, almost afraid to try it after all these years.
