Could someone explain how these headlights are mounted?
Really interested in doing this to my hobbit but I can't even see where they're mounted.
Thanks!
Probably to the stock horn mount
Homemade bracket
Shane + Joshua = FTW
I made a homemade bracket and attached it to the stock horn mount. Will post the step-by-step photos when i access home computer this evening.
Hey cutie, I think you just need some super glue. Thank me later!
all you need to do is flip the headlight bucket up-side down on the original mount.
^That looks great, now put your sidecover back on!
Simply drilled into the bucket huh?
i used the handle bar mounts and drilled into the triple tree....
That would be amazing! I'm definitely most interested in doing it the exact way that was done in the pic. Thanks a ton!
Thanks everyone! I think I have enough suggestions. Just gotta decide on the best one now.

to prevent shell cracking, you can get a bushind and a couple of washers for an insert/sleeve.
i really like this set-up.
*waits anxiously*
Flipping the headlight, swapping thw bars, and getting an Urban express speedo cools up a Hobbit like 400%.
Just wanted to updated everyone that we have managed to do in regards to the low headlight mount.
A T-shaped adapter was cut out from a sheet of metal that basically looked like this.
The two sides of the top were bent 90 degrees and attached the headlight while the middle was attached to where the horn attached.
Here are some pictures of the end result with the adapter.
We're really proud of it because basically it was all done by eye and nothing was measured yet it ended up fitting and working almost perfectly.
Looks good!

Sorry to let u down....my phone cannot copy images from photobucket anymore...wtf.
But the OP's solution is awesome. Identical to mine. Best way to adress it IMHO. Will post photos from computer at lunch. Good work.
shit looks so rad, reallt cleans up a stock hobbit. keeps it looking OG without going crazy. love that look. too bad i've never had a stock light that wasnt broken and requiring to be taped in.
that and I always wind up with caminos that have the silly BS euro square light.
dont forget to cut-out tabs up top for the grill cover. I spun the original horn mount 180 degrees to get a little more recess. Key still works and fits with no issues.
Additionally, spinning the horn mount 180, puts that notch forward. I cut groove/window into bracket for that projection to keep bracket from twisting left or right on the one screw hole of the horn mount. (edited)
