No torque, no acceleration.

Hey, what's up? I have a 1980 Pacer Moped that's been giving me some trouble (I'm not sure of the model, it doesn't seem to have any name besides Pacer.) Anyways, I've had it about 8 months and in that time, I've put around 800 miles on it. Well, recently, it started bogging down and stalling out a lot more. It doesn't accelerate as quick, doesn't have as high of a top speed, and it's hill-climbing really sucks. It used to go 25-28mph on flat terrain, but now only gets up to 19-20. I cleaned the carb and put in a new spark plug, but that didn't change anything. It is still sluggish. I'm sure there's an obvious solution to this problem, I'm just not too experienced with maintaining it. Could it be perhaps related to something in the transmission going wrong?

On a related note, what is the best octane fuel for a 50cc two-stroke? I've been using 92 or whatever the premium gas is.

How much oil should I be putting in per gallon? I've been following the original instructions loosely, which says 6 fl. oz./tank (0.9 Gal tank).

I'm still looking for a shop manual for the bike, but haven't found one yet. Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot.
