Shock absorbers

The Mopedeer /

Hi,

My problem is, that my mopeds rear shocks make noises (like I would be driving with a bag full of empty bottles) when I drive through potholes.

It's pretty old moped. Might it be because lack of oil? Or something else?

Thanks!

Martin

Re: Shock absorbers

get a 2 x 4 and 2 friends and bend your forks back straight.. then take the bottles out of the bag haha............naw, its old dude, its gonna make noises ,sounds like dry shock syndrome but could be the wheel bearings, if you want to make it brand new its gonna cost you, tell the board what kind it is and see if anybody has some decent shocks they'll let go of or buy new ones ,,,if its the front end noise and the forks are bad then turn up your walkman enough and it'll go away....Rog.. PS no you can't oil the shocks, well, you can but it'll only last for 2 potholes

Thanks.

The shocks still seem springy. Only the noise. I'm going to leave it the way it is then. I looked how much work would it be to take the shocks off the moped, and it didn't seem easy anyway.
