Portland Maine RIDE AND BBQ Sunday August 7

Hi everyone,

I'm planning a little meetup before I move to the northern woods.

Sunday August 7th, meet at the whale wall 12pm, ride the afternoon through Downtown-SoPo-Cape-Scarb, maybe OOB if we're feeling badass. Then we head back to South Portland for a scrumptious BBQ.

This is a RIDE so make sure your bikes run!

I encourage anyone from Hampsh/Mass to come, if you wanna crash up here we can figure something out

Who'll be there? We want a head count for food purposes!

PEACE

Have you guys ever been to Run of the Mill Brew house down in Saco( across the river from Biddeford)? I realize it's a little more South of Portland, but my brother runs the kitchen there. If you guys ever organize a ride and make it one of your stops then I can probably get you some sort of deal(maybe). They have some great craft brews brewed right there on the spot and the food is pretty cheap and good.

Man I wish I was in Maine right now.

hello fellow portlanders! i've been turned in the direction of moped army by a kind sir (i'm bad with names) i've run into a few times at the empire. i'm intrigued mostly because i havn't found any friends to ride with. i've got a custom built bike i've been working on for the past few months. not quite a moped, definitely not a bicycle. beach cruiser bike with an 80cc 2stroke (tying to attach a photo, but i assume you can check my profile for a picture). i'll be stopping by the whale wall tomorrow around 2, to shoot the shit hopefully. i SO want to join on the bbq, but i think my only problem with this specific ride is i have not tried going long distances yet, and seeing as my top speed is about 30... there's no way i can keep up with ya'll for such a long distance ride. i suppose i'll be able to meet and talk to people tomorrow / the next weekend. regardless... hello!

You all know I'm in!!

Re: Portland Maine RIDE AND BBQ Sunday August 7

80cc is actually the bike engine model name. 80cc bikes are actually only 60cc (it says it in the small print). Don't be to worried about speed, my moby only goes about 30, but its all good fun

There will be plenty of bikes in the 30mph zone, don't worry.

Probably we'll ride for 2 or 3 hours then fire up the grill.

Re: Portland Maine RIDE AND BBQ Sunday August 7

My only running moped is not legal right now, and I tend to worry about things like that. I've been too busy to even think about riding this year and I'm not planning on making it legal, so does anyone have a loaner for me?

I'm also thinking of selling my sweet customized 40v for the reasons I have listed above and because I also have a Hobbit and a CL70 that I am too busy to dick around with.

So does anyone have a loaner?

Anyone interested in this moby?

Run of the Mill??? I live in Biddeford, Who are you Gunther?

Dan,

My name is Conor. My brother runs the kitchen at Run of the Mill. His name is Shaun. He lives right over the bridge from Saco into Biddeford. Same Street Run of the Mill is on. He is the one with the Green vintage MG? have you seen it/him driving around? Ask for him next time you are in there and tell him I said give you a discount. I love Run of the Mill. I've been going to Maine since I was born. We have property up in Monmouth on Wilson Pond as well as Winthrop and my Mom lives off of eastern Ave in Augusta. I get up there almost every year. I'm allot farther now, but I belong in Maine.

Check it out
