A basket for Puch?

"Hi,
This is my first post that is not a reply. First, i'd like to say that I love the site, but I can't see the pictures in the gallery. Is something wrong with me, or the server?
Second, Does anyone know where to get baskets or saddlebags for an '84 Puch Maxi Sport LS?
I was thinking of not using normal batteries for the blinkers and using a lantern battery of the same voltage, so it would last longer... but I need something to stick it on, because i don't want to duck tape it to the bike. :)
Oh, and before i forget, does anyone know where to get key blanks for Puches? I lost my spare i got when i bought the bike, and I can't find anyone who can copy the original."

Re: A basket for Puch?

"first off, meijers is a giant superstore, i think it is only a midwest thing though, what i use as saddle bags are small canvas bags i got at army surplus, i take and cut the strap off, and cable tie it to the frame. it works pretty slick, and looks good too. also there is a moped shop in kalamazoo where some of the decptiocns got folding baskets, they fold up when not in use. the are aslo attached with cable ties. in fact i recommend using cable ties for everything.
"
