And since it's a noped it's a little fucker and you have to kick it 10-20 times. Once it fires up, it runs strong. Cleaned the carb and jets, air filter, everything. Runs well just a bitch to start. Could it be a battery issue? It's dead as hell but doesn't seem to matter as I'm getting good spark.
All the lights and horn work once it's going. Really odd.
Also: Shaft drive? Wacky.
try a new spark plug
try throwing it off a bridge.
Is your choke working?
I will tell you right now that I had the same prob with a QT50 (which has the same ignition) and it was spark related.
The spark looked really good but apparently under compression it wasn't getting the job done.
I replaced the stock ignition coil (behind the flywheel) with one from a Yamaha Razz and it solved the problem.
I can't promise you thats the issue but apparently its pretty common.
Also you know there is a 3 position key switch right?
If you have the key turned to the "RUN" position it will be a bitch to start. If the key is in the "START" position it wont rev past idle.
If the key is in the "OFF" position, well, you get it.

Around here pretty much any auto parts store will have one or something that will work or if you insist they will order one.
Ask for a BR6S by NGK.
If they don't have that ask for a BR5S, BR7S, BRP6S, BRP5S, BRP6HS.
If they don't have any of those then ask them to order the BR6S.
If you get a new plug and that helps but the problem comes back then I can guaranty it is the ignition coil.
