JB Weld

Great stuff, once I had to mount a tank to a bike and used it to mount and hold the mounts in place until I could get them welded.........guess what? JB weld explodes when it comes in contact with a welding torch, gas or electric,,,, just for future reference.. it could help keep your welding buddy from getting really pissed at you................lololol........Rog

Re: JB Weld

I tried to jb weld a broken flange onto a clutch pulley but it only held for one day. I guess it has it's limits, but it is a good bonding filler.

Re: JB Weld

Right,Bruce! JB Weld has many advantages, but everything has limitations. No plastic bonding agent can compare in adhesive strength to a heliarch or brazing or electrical welding. But for a pretty permanent crack filler,it's pretty good.

Re: JB Weld

JB Weld was invented by the brother of the guy who invented duct tape. His name was Guber his famous brother was Gomer Duct.

Re: JB Weld

Yeah,Zippy! They split up when Gomer duct-taped Guber's chemistry set shut after Guber had JB Welded Gomer's wooden shoes to the floor.Nasty fight, that!

Re: JB Weld

Re: JB Weld

Great,Casey! But with my schedule I won't get my hopes too high. The Sebring is really nothing special as far as looks go,Casey. One needs painted and the other needs decals and stripes. But mechanically it and it's brother are very dependable usually.I keep a full array of necessary tools in the bag on the handlebars. The Sebrings are getting old, though, with I'm sure at least an average of 9 or 10 thousand miles each and haulin' my heavy butt around is no small chore for a 120lb.bike.Ike sent me 2 tires for the one I use on flatter ground(single-speed Minarelli).
