I see and meet a lot of people that get the Puch logo on my 78Maxi and the BMW logo confused. Is there any relation to the companies, maybe way back when?

The logo of Bayrische Motor Werche is surpose to symbol a prop from an aircraft spinning, i think the logo of puch surpose to symbol the same.
that would be odd - did Puch make airplanes at any point in time? I know that BMW made airplane engines.
Puch at one time had an affiliation of some sort with Austro-Daimler, if that helps make any connection - even produced a 'ped with them..it was a fairly nice piece of work for a single-speed.

Puch is related to Austro-Daimler-PUCH, then Austro-Daimler-Mercedes, now Austro-Daimler-Chrysler in the states. So in a way Puch is related more to a Jeep than a BMW. Austro-Daimler is the parent company of Mercedes.Reeperette wrote:
