Heard of a Garelli?

"I just purchased a Garelli moped. I think it's a '74, but I'm not sure. I can't seem to find any information about this make anywhere. It runs well, but I am interested in making some modifications to the bike, such as getting a better pipe and carb. Does anyone have any advice for me?"

Re: Heard of a Garelli?

"Hi there! Yes, Garellis are totally terrific and I'm a proud owner of a 1977 SuperSport XL that runs like a champ! I have a comprehensive repair manual and the original owner's manual at my disposal, so if you need any reference, please feel free to ask away.
All the best,
_wal"

"YES! I heard of a Garelli! I actually owned one myself! It was a model GT 4 speed/gear. A very big model with twin seat and everything. But I had the same problem as do now! I couldn`t get the parts I needed. And it was so original that nothing would fit. so I sold it to a byddy of mine for about what looks like 80$. It was a nice bike and i liked it very much, after all it was my first bike. The person I sold it to told me that in Germany it is sold and runs 110 km/t.
I live in Denmark, but my friend use to live in Germany for a while. I had a Puch Maxi at the same time. That`s why I sold it. And I had to move so we didn`t have room for it.
Regards Kasper Elkj
