motobecane clutch....one more time

Hey guys, nothings working! I can't find out whats wrong with my clutch! The moped has been sitting around for about 15 years. Its a '75 motobecane and when you pedal it, it barely turns over, and only sometimes. I think the inside of the clutch is either filthy nasty or it got greased. I cant find out either way. I tried a puller and it just chews up the end of the threaded bolt. I don't want to pull to hard incase theres some bolt that needs to come off. Please help.

Kurt,

What kind of puller are you using?

What threaded bolt are you chewing up?

Are you using the decompressor to try to start it?

What's a decompressor and where do I find it? (I'm new at this)

Kurt,

There should be a small lever on the left side handlebar. It operates a small valve in the head next to the spark plug. You pull the lever, while pedaling, until the engine turns, then release it to start the engine.

BTW, only answering the questions that interest you is not the best way to get advice from people who are better at this. : )
