Picture of The Sachs With Mags and Side Covers

I spent like 4 hours putting these new mags on the Sachs that I found in the trash, and now she is looking damn good, if I do say so myself! I have cleaned her up alot. There was a lot of surface rust when I rescued her, but now she is all polished up. I am giving it to my lady Krista, and I think she wants to paint it baby blue. I like the green. Anyway, check out what I found in the garbage!

Nice looking rescued `ped,Crisis! Keep up the fantastic work! I like that green!Swarm and Destroy!

Re: Picture of The Sachs With Mags and Side Covers

I still have to paint it, and get the lights working right. If I could find some touch up paint that would match, that would be great. Does anyone know if you can get Sachs touch up paint?

Re: Picture of The Sachs With Mags and Side Covers

yo crisis! those mags look sweet... have you ridden it yet????

Re: Picture of The Sachs With Mags and Side Covers

Not yet. I will probably give her a test run today after work!

Re: Picture of The Sachs With Mags and Side Covers

Well, now it looks exactly like mine, except for the aftermarket squarish Niox headlight that I have. Good luck on your test-run. I'm rebuilding my engine right now and should be done (insurance tags license and all) by the middle of January. Right in time for some really cold weather.

Re: Picture of The Sachs With Mags and Side Covers

Mike, where I live you don't even need tags! I usually get ohio tags though, so that I can ride my peds across the river (ohio requires tags, but kentucky doesn't).

Re: Picture of The Sachs With Mags and Side Covers

Well, in Texas they have a lot more restrictions, although they are redicusly easy:

class m license with a g restriction - written only test $15

Insurance - about $50 a year

license plate (tax) tag - $40-50 a year

Inspection- the hard one you have to have headlights brake light and brakes. - $15 a year... the hard part is finding someone who will do it

I ran around for a whole year wit just the plate tag and insurance, because nobody knew what was actually required. I'm going to try and be legal this time, just to avoid hassles. It biols down to about 100 a year, which is pretty bad for most areas. It is worth it tho.

Re: Picture of The Sachs With Mags and Side Covers

Right,Mike! It's worth 100 easy, except if you want to alternate and run 2 of your favorite `peds, they are robbing you.I always run at least 2 `peds, just for fun,and Texas would be a bummer. The states I admire so far are Kentucky and Virginia.I read Texas laws a while back and I feel for ya'.Ohio's not bad either, except in my town and many others they are free to tack on an additional `city dweller' tax which is 10.00 a plate in Jackson and 15.00 in Wellston. It is even higher in some cities. So my tags, which cost me 20 or more, would only cost a little over 10 or so if I lived out in the country.Isn't Illinois pretty good about moped laws?
