Long redlights are a problem for me. If I sit at idle too long, about fifty yards after I pull away the engine stops and I have to change the plug. Any suggestions other than running the light.

spelling correction. cheep-cheep
make sure you are running the correct spark plug
a spark plug of "too cold" a heat range... will "fowl" easily.. (bawk bawk bagawk!)
Make sure he air filter is clean, and carburetor is adjusted properly also.

Okay,Ken! Here's what happened to me on this same problem.By hard-headed and stubborn ignorance I FINALLY realized that my problem was,as Ron suggested to me,that my timing had went way slow due to a damaged woodruff key in the flywheel of my Sebring. So all I can say is that I DO KNOW FOR A FACT that timing which is slow can cause this thru incomplete combustion at an idle.SO Ken,check your timing with a timing light. Also my compression isn't great on that bike.So you might do a compression check also.
