Need wireing help, tomos!

Arterious /

Okie I have a 92 tomos top tank moped, the headlight has 3 plugs, 2 at the bottom one in the middle of the back, i have 4 wires that are not in use, a brown a white a grey and a blue, I can get the low beam but not the high beam to work

Now this may sound wierd but my top tank is almost identicle to the tomos SPRINT model, same front head cover etc. anyone please help, its driving me nutz the way it is now, not to mention night riding is a bitch

Re: Need wireing help, tomos!

Do you have a multimeter to work with? If not, you can get a workable one for maybe $10 from Radio Shack. That will let you probe out the conectors on your wiring harness (while the ped's running) to see which one goes hot when you hit the high beam switch. Then you'll know which lead to connect. I suspect the rear connector on the headlamp is common (ground). So try the other 2 in turn and you should be all set with the headlight, at least.

I attached a pdf copy of the tomos manual. It includes wiring diagrams.
