have any of you ever cleaned a motobecane carb?

my moped has been sitting and some one told mne to clean it im just wondering if its a difficult task.

peice of cake. I did mine today.. the more I look and read puegeot and motorbecane are almost identical.

same motor... same (noki) magneto same carberator(gurtner) same almost everything.. the good thing is I found a motobecane service manual free online so it has helped me tremndously. The only diffrence I have found is that the air filter box on the diagram looks a bit diffren't then the one on my ped.. but my ped was 3 years newer then the motobecane manual... so maybe the same year motobecane looks like mine. everything is the same so far ... I'm just hopeing that the plugs are the same. :0) should be.. hehe..

Ps... there is a really small spring loaded gasket in the carb. Make sure to be in a well lit area when you take this out... the gasket and cap literaly shot about 15 feet across the shop.. I got the dang gasket and spring back but i think the cap is gone forever... I just "made" one.. seems to still work properly..
