Tomos Baffle Removal

On the very end of the exhaust pipe is a cap with a little screw in the side.

Unscrew it, and take a pipe wrench or large visegrips and get a good grip on it - then pull straight out while working back and forth.

If the cap comes off without the baffle, just put the grips on the little tube that was connected to the cap, and repeat above.

Once you get a look at that gunked-up carbon-catcher, you will definately get the point of removing it...also, you will have a slightly more "agressive" exhaust note, which sounds pretty cool.

I wouldn't worry too much right off about gunk and smoke right after a rebuild or repair, cause that happens, but if it continues to happen past about 50 miles, then worry.

When you make repairs, it takes a while for crud, leakage, etc, to burn off, so be aware of that...it's not gonna run flawless immediately even if you disassemble and clean the whole damn works, especially if it's a tomos.
