<HTML>The flywheel should go directly on the crankshaft. The crankshaft should have a thread and it should be shaped in a way so the flywheel can only be fitted in one position. On some peds, the flywheel isn't bolted down, it is jammed against the clutch, and the clutch is bolted to the crankshaft. If your crankshaft has no thread, something is seriously wrong, in that case you should fit a new crankshaft, and if you're looking to buy a new crankshaft, get a race-crankshaft. A race-crankshaft is much lighter and will allow faster accelleration.</HTML>
