Need some help finding parts here!

Recently, i bought a 1982 honda MB5 and it is my new "moped". (or so the plates say) i know its a rae bike, and im having trouble finding parts, but the things i need i thought you be universal. I need 1) a headlight (sealed beam 12v 30/31,5w) 2) a turnsignal flasher 3) battery (the really small one i think used on honda expresses?) 4) fuel valve if anyone knows where i can get any of these parts, especially the headlight and battery, then pleezzzz let me know!

Re: Need some help finding parts here!

did you call handybikes? or any of the other parts suppliers? check the resources/links section of the site.

For the battery, get the number off of the old one and look in a JC Whitney catalog. They have almost every size for 6 and 12v batteries.

Re: Need some help finding parts here!

I'm not familiar with your bike but can you replace just the bulb or do you have to replace the hole thing. If it is a round or square type, measure it from the two outside bolt holes and email a few of the parts places for mopeds. You might also check the agri supply store near you for an off road light that might be the same deminsions (or a few washers close) for the moped if you cannot replace the bulb itself. The light you would get from the agri supply store would be for an off road peace of equipment but it would eb better than no light. I found a 6v light that I was able to work into my fa50. By using a modified light, I was able to save about 35.00 from retail price of the whole thing (mine has the lense adjuster built into the bulb).

Hope this helps.

BTW, have you emailed any of the parts places like mopedwarehouse.com or checked with the honda dealer?
