<HTML>To All and Any Knowledgable Fellow Moped Riders,

I recently purchased a 1999 Sundrio Chinese made moped/scootter. It has no moving peddles, so I guess it is more like a scooter. I live in Western North Carolinia. I do not need a driver's liscense or insurance to operate it here. I just lost my drivers license and won't have one for two years. I would like to move to another state soon but I wasn't and need to bring the moped with me for transportation of course. I am considering moving to California, Arizonia, Nevada, Florida, or Ohio. Before I move I need to know if I need a valid driver's liscense, insurance, or if my bike is street legal in those states. I can't find any information about mopeds and laws on the internet.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could send me information on state regulations pertaining to moped operation in any or all of these states and any other states.

I am working on this too and if I find it I'll post any state regulations about mopeds if I can. These laws effect all moped riders and especially moped riders who are not eligible for a driver's liscence or those cannot afford a car and insurance. Keeping the roads of the United States open to moped riders is our duty. Thank you for your time.

Sincerly, Colleen K. Age 26.
