I've got a bet going here w/ a friend who speaks German.
She says Puch is pronounced "POOK", while I say it's probably pronounced "PUCK"?
Who's right?
Thanks.

I'm going to say....... run a search, it has been discussed many many times here, the last one was probably within a month ago.
While there are some "experts" that still disagree, and those that will keep saying it their way, according to litereature put out by the Puch company it is pronounced like "book"(pook), so it looks like its time to pay up sucker.
The other threads will have a link to the literature that I am speaking of, or it can be found in the photos section of this site.
she's right.
Its Poooook with my southern accent. Y'all come hear. Jim.
Yeah except when you don't want to disrespect the old neighbor who fixes harleys, and you are looking for parts... then it it's "puuch"
or "pooch"
or (really hopefully) "that damn thing in the back yard that you can have for free"
I always pronounced it "Puke", like something you do
after a Keg party!!!

^ THIS. A guy from Austria told me that yes it is like book, but the way they say it.
Pronounced "Bogh" with the "o" sounding like vowel in "bought" with gutteral throat cough sound. Best i can describe.
