I thought this was neat how they combined the two words. (see attach.)
Looks exactly like my tag, but mine says 5883.
It's not a bad deal, $5 / 3 years for such a nice tag :-)
Ray,
I was in your area Sat. at the Punkin Chunkin championship, MAN what a party!
saw a few peds too.
Jim
Here's the old California tag. Now they are blue numbers on a white reflective background.
Better than DE, it's $5.00 for LIFE!
When you transfer title the new owner pays five bucks also and has registration for as long as they own it too.
But my motorcycles have gone from $12.00 to $45.00 for no good reason!
Jim
I was there saturday too :-) but I didnt see any peds, just lots of harley's. I think the dirt was just a little too bumpy/dusty for my ped.
You do realize, that now people are going to say what the hell is punkin chunkin ?
Here in Delaware, we make our own excitement
you're right about the dust, you guys need a little rain in lower DE.
My first time there and I'll be back, those air cannons kicked ass, threw those punkins almost a mile. I enjoyed the human powered contraptions, some were right out of midevil times.
They (state police) turned people away Sat. it was filled to capacity, 25,000 attended. CNN was there. Here is more info and pictures:

There was a moped behind the fence where the contraptions were, running back and forth with some official on it, and I saw another one down near the air cannons when I was arriving. DE punkin chunkin rocks!
5 bucks for life is a hellava deal. but i still like the DE tag cause it has the word "moped" on it.
Locals know that you have to get there early, and/or plan to stay over. It says something when some of the people visiting bring their own portapotty's :-)
I've got my chunker designed, now all I've got to do is get some of my welding buddys to help out
Where were you coming from, your email address looks like Philly ?
SteelToad
SE Pa, seven of us rode our bikes down for the day, it was raining all the way to Dover, when we got home that night our bikes looked like we raced in the BAJA from all the dust in the field parking. It was worth it though, great time.
Did you see the guy riding the go kart with the toilet hopper seat?...and what kind of power is your chunker gonna have?
gimmyjimmy
Did you guys all park together, some goldwings, and some harleys, and a jap racer ? If they are the bikes I'm thinking of, then yeah, you were dusty. Woulda been good to know you were going through Dover, you passed about 100 feet from my house (Across the highway from KMart).
The toilet on the kart was cute, but I liked "Pastor Pauls Private Potty" with the porta-john in the back of an S-10.
I'm thinkin of a spring loaded sling-shot device mounted on a sled on a track, also spring loaded. As the sled shoots up the track, the release pin is pulled which releases the spring loaded sling-shot. Sort of a double whammy. I don't know where they would classify it, catapault ? Just something else to add to my list of projects.
that wasn't our group, we were all Harleys and one yamaha,
good luck with your chunker, if you enter it next year, i'll be there to cheer you on.
and hopefully, no "pie in the sky" for your team.
