I got my scooter back!

I'm out riding like 20 miles it's running fine so I gas it up and go home,, next morning it fires up runs fine for 2 blocks loses most of power and I nurse it too store and back. 4 separate times I let it cool down ,fire it up and its fine till the choke goes off (its electric) then it will idle but thats all, I know its fuel related but not sure how and with it under warantee I dont wanna bugger with it.. take it to shop, and carb and tank are full of black crap (guess what? black crap isn't covered under warantee) and I have to pay (30) to clean it out , oh well lesson learned , I'll be buying another gas can so I can strain mine at home before it goes in scoot, and I made them put in an inline fuel filter... but she runs fine now so all is right with the world, this morning I bought a thermal hunting suit for winter riding another 65 bucks but I'm guessing it'll be worth it

That's the way to go,Rog!At least you're pluggin' away at it.Now,with your hunting suit, you may as well get a deer hunting license and blow `em away when they jump out in front of you! Venison! This message approved for release by P.E.T.A. (People EATING Tasty Animals) LOL !!

Just be careful riding your ped during the "rutting season", an 8 pt buck on Monday evening bagged a Dude on a Harley Sportster right outside of my town. It ran off in the woods and the Dude was MEDEVACed out. His conduction was unknown and his bike was really messed up. I wonder what would have happend if it was a MOPED insted of a Sportster. (Probably just knocked the rider off and the deer was last seen toolin down Route 645 on a Tomos- - A "Moped Jacking"). LOL.

Re: I got my scooter back!

Believe it or not in moped2.org there's a story of a deer that did just that ! It's hilarious and the Patrolman wrote the deer up as the perpetrator! The deer on the moped proceeded on the moped after knocking the boy off the bike, and some poor schmuck working on his Chevy stepped out in the road to see what the hubbub was and the DEER RAN HIM OVER !!! REE and WAYNE will love this! The patrol cited the deer!! HILARIOUS!!

Heh, I'd just whip my favorite bit o chain around those antlers, yank 'im down and drag his ass for a while, then skin 'im, eat 'im, and make a coat out of 'im.

Kill it, eat it, wear it - waste is an insult to the cycle of life.

(Of course, ever more likely I'd try that and get yanked right off the 'ped by a pissed off deer that weighs more than I do..but I'd try, yannow ?

FYI, sneakin up on a deer and tryin to yank it's tail is a BAD idea...cracked ribs ain't fun.)

Don I've read that story too. But around here in No VA, the friggin deer are everywhere. Heck I got one 3 yrs ago w/my 86 vette. Last fall in the next county over, a deer on the Prince William Pkwy bagged a young couple on a Road King. Now that it is dark when I come home from the commuter station on my ped I keep a sharp lookout for "eye shine" just off of the road. I wish I could get brighter headlights. Anybody got any recommendations for brighter headlights, besides eating more carrots.

Hey,Ree! I can see you're a practical Daniel Boone sort `a guy.Since I've joined P.eople E.ating T.asty A.nimals I've had a lot of venison.Never tried a chain though.Anything that can jump a 10 ft.high fence might be able to drag me screamin' and kickin' into the oncomin' traffic! I prefer something that BARKS here and BITES over there if you get my meaning.(Ruger Redhawk 44 Mag. does very nicely if you're pressed for time). And Rich, I can sympathize with you on those deer accidents.BEFORE I got those animal warning devices installed on all my vehicles, except `peds,I was hittin' deer right and left. Some people say those don't work.Well, all I've got to say is,I've never hit a deer in all the several hundred thousands of miles I've driven in vehicles WITH those devices. Not one!But I've hit every one of the seven deer I've hit WITHOUT those devices. They claim 85% effectiveness and I believe it.Just saw a deer hit on the way in to work.Poor guy's nice mini-van sustained heavy damage.I called the patrol for him.Deer was layin' in the median kickin',poor thing. Here in Ohio the Patrol will let you take the deer you've killed for food.At least it's not wasted,Ree!

Yeah...now, I don't mind vegans...it's just that since we've killed off all their natural predators and suchlike, we are then morally obligated to keep natures balance as it should be, and that means keeping the numbers down.

It's also meat for your own table without the waste, expense, and potentive side effects of processed foods, and I don't feel too bad about it since I respect the fact that some day I'll die, and my remains will feed the grass, which will feed the deer.

We eat them, they eventually eat us, it's just the way it works, yannow ?

Re: Cycle of Life

I don't mind vegans either Ree! Just as long as they stay outta my hunting rights business, which many are prone to get to stickin' their noses on my rural property and scarin' away game about deer season time.I don't bother them.I respect their right to believe what they want, practice what they want,as long as they don't come bullying me.Funny how arrogant people want to change the other person when they SHOULD BE minding their own business.Had to vent a little.Sorry.
