Toronto transit strike: what to do?

Vimy Ridgeway /

Okay, the Grande is all ready to go when the TTC goes on strike. The problem is that so many people will be using their cars, and others on bicycles, that it's going to get pretty congested in downtown Toronto. Last strike it was nuts: short tempers, gridlock at intersections. I found that the safest and fastest way to travel then was on rollerblades. Any thoughts?

I think this is one of those very few times I've actually been GLAD to be stuck in Oakville.

Mopeds and heavy traffic don't mix, unless you like overheating and engine damage.

I'll be riding my moped to the picket line. I hope it doesn't last long. Sorry for any trouble this brings you all. I can't get the union to listen to me and not strike. bruce

Where will you be picketing, Bruce? I might drop by and say hi.

Re: Toronto transit strike: what to do?

That's his point, he has a moped, but without public transportation the city will be more crowded with cars, and people will be in general more cranky and short-tempered. Not ideal mopeding conditions.
