I just bought a 84 honda spree, and it won't start. The starter engages but sticks. Sometimes it will turn for a about 2 secs but that is all. Everything else seems to work on it. Another question is when you turn the key to the on position what lights illuminate, all I have lit is the brake light, nothing on the console is that right? Let me know. Alos if the starter is bad is it hard to replace? Thanxs.
Well, I'm not sure about your starter problem, my starter on my 86 Spree is giving me fits right now as well. When you turn on the key, the only lights to light should be the brake light. You can also get your turn signals to work along with the horn too. The starter is pretty easy to get to though, just gotta have small hands.
