yamaha SA 50 M(PASSOLA)

can anyone tell me how to take the carbuerator of this moped, it is so compact, i dont want to take the engine out.. help please!

Re: yamaha SA 50 M(PASSOLA)

why do you want to remove it? you ought to be able to clean it where it is

Re: yamaha SA 50 M(PASSOLA)

the reason why i want to remove it, is that this moped has been standing for two years, and i want to take of the carb to clean it out, there might be a lot a crap in it,clean the jet's out, and there does'nt seem much room to undo the clip holding it on, you either have to be a midget to get in there or have a set of micro screwdriver's (ha ha ) i had a honda camino (two at one point)and to take the carb of of them you had to drop the engine...

Looks like you've got your work cut out for you. That's a scooter, not a `ped, right? Is it 50cc engine? No pedals, right? You asked what the name of that bike is here in the States? I'll bet Fred or someone knows now that they've got a pic of it.That should look good purple metallic,FOR A SCOOT THAT IS .I have to grade on a big `curve' when I talk about scooters looks. No offense,PeeWee!

Re: yamaha SA 50 M(PASSOLA)

that's ok,, i know moped's are moped's,, i used to own three honda camino's all at once, but over in the uk 49cc classed as a moped, because of the law, even though they dont have pedal's..they classed the pedal's as being dangerous, dont no why,as when i ran out of fuel on the camino you just flicked the switch and started pedaling, you did look a bit foolish though,, ha ha..ian

That's not foolish,it's FUELLESS !!)

Actually,Ian,you shouldn't feel foolish JUST BECAUSE YOU RAN OUT OF FUEL ON A MACHINE THAT GETS 120 MPG !! So Parliament thinks pedals are dangerous??? NO WONDER they took away your guns then! What are they classified as; A hazard to Hedgehogs?Boy this is fun!
