Chris,don't wear a backpack if you have a rear carrier or can get one.Just run the straps around the bottom and pull the pack against the seat.WORKS GREAT !You can also hang a bag on the handlebars with some tools and a BB gun for unruly dogs that try to wreck you.That's MY cure for the mutts with big teeth and no brains.
