Wasn't the Sterling the Honda-Rover luxury car made in England? Can you post a pic?
Nice classic rides.
Yeap, check out the link i attached... anyone know how post the pic right in the discussion forum, and not a link to it?
Anyway, yeah its a Acura Legend, just with european styling... they are real common around the states i believe. My car isnt perfect, its got some sun fading, and it needs a power stearing pump... and some odd and end stupid stuff... but with 39k and no rust, $500 didnt sound too bad. What ya think of my new ride?
oh and the great thing about my car is its all power (everything) and has leather seats! But the primary reason i bought the car is that its low mileage, and its a 5-speed... all my cars have been automatics and i wanted a manual so bad/
i like that little car... you should have keep it and turned into a dune buggy
I have a 90 Legend, fully loaded, runs like a champ still, but starting to rust around the doglegs.
i wish mine was an actual legend, cause i dont like my front end, but its all cool
It's a hobby run out of control! Except for the Dart and the Galaxie which were bought new by my parents, everything was a basket case offered and acquired for $500 or less, and some were free. At least they're not boring rides, and that means a lot when you drive 60-100 miles a day in LA freeway traffic. I'm going to try to limit myself to 1 or 2 mopeds, now that this hobby has been revived! At one time years ago, I had 4 mopeds or scooters, an '82 Honda Express, an '82 Suzuki FA50, an '85 Honda Aero 50, and a Honda Spree, all for $25 each or free, but with no papers, so we got them running, ran them into the ground and got rid of them or threw them away.

I had a 1979 Renault LeCar, great little 4-speed, four cylinders, 1200 ccs. Before that a 1972 Peugeot 304, great car but a rustbucket; before that a 1964 Chevy II that just wouldn't die; drove it until 1976.
After the Renault, I had a 1980 Rover 3500 V-8, a 5-door screamer with a heavy clutch, but unreliable. I replaced almost everything on it, including the engine, transmision and three master brake cylinders (1st one cost $179, last one cost $529, what an absolute POS).
Then I joined the Honda gang in 1988, with a Honda Acccord EX-i, top of the line here in Canada. When I started my business I got a cheap 1986 Hyundai Stellar to poke around in, then a 1988 Honda Prelude. That was stolen, so I got aother one, an '87, then a 1991 Prelude SR-SE, my favourite car of all time. Had it for 9 years, then it was stolen. Got it back a year later and sold it to my neighbour across the street in return for visiting rights. Now driving an old Legend and my wife's Mazda 626 Cronos.
