For Ree, it's a big chain with a big lock on it that swings well! : )
Apparently it works on most peds.
Heh...I ain't never gonna live that down am I ?....hehehe.
I think this guy might mean "Condensor" instead of "Compensator" actually...anyone care to take a shot at explainin what one is ?

Ree,
Sorry, I had to do that as I had no idea what he was talking about!
I re-read his post and don't think he means condensor. Let's wait for clarification.
Ron
Well,I remember the term but not the definition.I was thinking it' used to be a valve in the carb. on automobiles to keep the fuel at the right delivery rate thru different throttle positions. But I think the last one I saw was on a six-cyl. Ford Falcon(*1962).
actually it is a compensater go to http://www.bettella.com check it out.
Well that's just a fancy EGR(exhaust gas recirculation) valve,David! What'll they think of next! LOL!
Don,
I think it actually hooks up to the intake only. Under accelleration, it is exacuated and when you shut the throttle, it sucks unburned fuel and saves it until you open the throttle again when it gives you an extra shot of mixture.
Ron
Yeah Ron,I couldn't see any value to having one like on a car;not much cubic displacement to work with.It sure isn't anything like that compensator on my old Ford Falcon's carb.I wonder if it actually pays for it's keep since the more stuff you put on an engine, the more can go wrong?
Don,
Beats me. It seems like an inert device, may just hurt your pocket.
Fred, where are you? Any thoughts?
Ron
