Should the choke slide be completely down (like, no opening at all), when the throttle is not engaged? My choke slide, will not drop all of the way, so now my bike just idles like a crazy bitch. How can I get that puppy to drop, that is, if I need to? Please help. Thanks.
The throttle can only raise the choke slide. To lower the choke you have to manually push it down. The pin that comes from the top of the choke slide should be a friction fit with the hole it passes through so that it stays in position until moved down by hand or up by the throttle action. If you go to full throttle the choke slide should go all the way up and stay there.
So, how can I make the choke slide go all of the way down, and stay there, until I engage the throttle? It stays open, high enough that the idle screw doesn't even effect it. I need some help!
I think the starting procedure should go something like this, at least this is what I dowhen I know the engine is cold; throttle (off) in full spring return, push choke slide all the way down, turn over engine and when is it catches, advance the throttle about one third (maybe one half the way. Let the ped go at this slow speed until it warms up a little. Then your off.
Okay here is the deal. The throttle slide, doesn't slide completely closed when the throttle is not engaged. It stays about 1/3 of the way open. How can I get it to close? Do I need to loosen my throttle cable? If so, how do I do that? Could the pin not be going all of the way into the hole, in the bottom of the chamber? I am dying to ride, but until I fix my moped, I will just be unhappy. Please help.

Pull the slide from the carb and look at it to figure out if it is a cable problem or a sticky slide.

I got your email. I assume you have determined it is a sticky slide. The slide has to fit in the carb with no interference from dirt, gum or possibly something bent or burred. The chances of someone who does not have it in thier hand being able to figure it out better than someone who does are really slim.
Quit typing for a while and look at it. When you have observed what keeps it from sliding, if you can't figure out how to fix it, post again, describing whatever makes it stick. : )
