I may have not explaned myself well. I am aware of the veggie set up, infact I spent allot of time helping him get it running. I was mostly commenting on that particular truck. It would not go over 65 on the highway, and you had to downshift ALOT on hills, and forget the hills if you had a load of wood in the tiny bead. It may have just been a very abused truck, but it was puny. I'm used to small cars, I had a 78' Datsun 210 hatchback with a 60hp 1.4L, maybe 45 ft. lbs torque? Anyway that car, with 250K and no engine rebuild, could easily out pull that tiny VW "truck" besides no truck should be front wheel drive! And that truck was also hard to start on regular diesel in 40 degree weather (he also sometimes used biodisel in the diesel tank), in Minnesota we have problems starting any old car, much less a diesel when it gets down to -30! What is the MB 300sd? I’m not familiar with it; it sounds like a cool (car? truck?)
