Need any info on Trac

Hey,

I need any info at on trac, and there bikes. I need to get some wiring diagrams for it, parts books, and things like that. 3 hours, 7 blown fuses, and a roll of solder later i still cant undo what the retard did to it before i got it. Its the igniton that is all " re-worked" to put it in nice terms.

Thanks,

Trac Man

Re: Need any info on Trac

Trac Man,you need to say exactly what model and year it is and that way somebody might be able to help. Also describe what that `infidel' did to the wiring.

Re: Need any info on Trac

Its a 1989 Trac Olympic Blitz. And the A hole re wied the ignition so u dont need a key to use it. the off position is on, so u can start it up, and ride off with most everything working. And the START and RUN positions dont do anything at all. I mean the bike will start and run in thoes two but the brake light dosent work and my turn signals dont work.

Hope thats enough info,

Trac Man

Re: Need any info on Trac

The brake light might be the most important daytime riding light you have,so reverse trace it to wherever it's been altered.Probably it's been hooked into that ignition switch. If necessary, run a test wire up to the hot ignition wire and see if the bike runs o.k. with the brake light activated. An ohmmeter would come in handy here to separate the hot circuits.Probably a separate lighting coil for turnsignals and tailight.Maybe if it's similar to a Batavus,Brian(Miniengine)can help.He seems to have a lot of schematics for Bats and I've alwats heard they're similar bikes.Look at it this way:Be really glad the bike runs, and just get the brake and taillight working at a minimum. You don't need an operable ignition switch, just a kill switch. And you can take your time and fix the turn signals at your leisure.BYE!
