HELP - I Forgot to write down the colors

SteelToad /

Ok, trying to get my ped re-wired. My headlight went out, and not being happy

with putting it back the way it was, I put in a couple of automotive halogen aux

lights. That works great, and I've replaced the bulbs I fry'd by not realizing that the

new lights were body grounded. Everything works now except my brake light.

Headlights are awesomely bright, and change color based on how you look at

it.

Can somebody out there with a tomos (mines a 2000) tell me what color wires

go where on the back of the original headlight. Two connectors go at the bottom,

and one goes about mid way up the bulb. What color wires go where, and does

anyone have a clear and easy to read wiring diagram.

Thanx

When I get my engine, and start the teardown and rebuild...I shall look in there...but it would be nice if someone else knew offhand.

Brown is ground, on a Tomos...that might help some, knowin that.

Re: HELP - I Forgot to write down the colors

Brown goes on top by itself, The blue goes to throttle side of light, grey to other side. With the brown (-) on top you can switch the other 2 to get HI...LO to work correct with switch.. Doug D

Thanx,

Well I got the headlights all set up, and they are much brighter than stock. I was

really hoping that they would both be on for high beam, and only one on for low,

but it's ok the way they are. I've still got to figure out why my brake light wont

work. The bulb is good, and everything else is working ok. Does anyone know

what I may have done ?? :-(

Check the connection at the brake handle itself for cracks and corrosion, and check the connection at the voltage regulator as well, for some odd reason those clips tend to come unplugged at inopportune moments.
