New Grips for my Ciao

Hello All! I am looking for some new grips for my Vespa Ciao. Preferably air cushoned grips, or something along those lines. The ones on the ped are in ok shape, I just want something that will absorb more(Ciaos dont have shocks). I already looked at mopedwarehouse and moped junkyard, couldn't find anything. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks in Advance!!!

John

O.K....then what? I still can't find anything!

Re: New Grips for my Ciao

Measure the diameter of your handlebars.

If they are 7/8"... then you can get grips at any motorcycle dealer.

Or try

www.denniskirk.com

or

www.maw.com

Sorry I can't help the grips but I just put a large gell pad seat on my 72 ciao and it takes alot of the vibration away. Bruce

Re: New Grips for my Ciao

Thanks for the site info Fred, found exactly what I was looking for!!!

And Bruce, that seat sounds interesting...does it look anything like the stock seat? Did you buy it from a store or have it made? I've found that sitting with my ass hanging a little off the back of the seat really makes for a fun, bouncy ride. That seat spring really works good!

Thanks again!

John

Re: New Grips for my Ciao

I got the seat in a bicycle shop. It's an oversized pull over and tie on seat for an old fashioned cruiser bike. It's just about the same size as a ciao seat and looks not too bad. It was a bit pricey $35. but now I can ride farther , and not notice the vibration from the engine as much as before i had it. It was worth every cent . Bruce
