Honda trail bikes are excellent. Other than my mopeds, I love riding and working on my trail 70's. It is a very reliable motor and is easy to work on. Both the 70 and 90 are street legal as long as no one has messed with them. It was common for the headlight or tail light to be removed (after being smashed from a wipeout). The trail 90 will do about 60 MPH and the trail 70 will go about 40MPH stock from the factory. The one advantage of the trail 90 is that it had a high and low range setting on the gearbox. In the low range setting it can practically climb trees. This comes in very handy when you decide to go off road. The trail 70's have been remade recently by another company. I think the name of the bike is the Panda. You can probably find more info online. The 70cc model goes for about $1400. many local motorcycle repair shops now carry these so do some research and you may be able to pick one up near you. The older ones you find on eBay are highly sought after as collector items and therefore get top dollar. Dollar for dollar you would be better off with a new remake if you are looking for a rider and not concerned with collector value. I own three of the old ones so email me if you have any other questions. Good Luck!
You can always try

or

And they are not considered mopeds by most states.
Or by... The Moped Army.
They do have a goofy "collector value" to a lot of old guys reliving their childhood.
So they are often too high priced.
Well,Rattlznake,if you want a purely street machine and touring machine you'd be more comfortable on a Honda 70 or 90 PASSPORT.But if you are ever going to go off-road,well you can sacrifice comfort somewhat and get the trail bike.I'm a comfort freak ,but then to each his own.
Yes they are street legal and rather pricey as well. Looked at a trail 90, she wanted $800 for it and it was an 80's model. Similar prices on Ebay motors. You need a motorcycle endorsement on your license as well. good luck! Barbara
am i gunna fit on it?
im 6foot 2
hers looked to be the same height as a motorcross bike. I myself am 5'9". They are
nice looking bikes.
