I just bought my first moped, a Kinetic TFR, and I can't figure out how to lock the handlebars. Its probably something stupid Im sure, but I tried turning the key backwards and looked all over the handlebar assembly. Is it me? Or is it that there is no lock?

I don't know if they work the same as on my tomos (don't know the kinetic) but with the tomos steering lock, you have to turn the steering to the side in order to lock it (so you start turning the key, turn the handlebars until you can click the lock into place... it has to be at a certain angle, not straight forward)
If it's new, they decided to get rid of the steering lock. Don't know why but it says they quit using it in my owners manual.

don't trust handlebar locks. they're not secure. use a ulock. always.
