: one more thing: be aware that they will ask you how much you paid for your moped when you go the secretary of states office to get registered. whatever you tell them- the'll charge you tax for. and i doubt they'd check with the little old lady you bought it from to verify. <p>just one more side note: I don't know about your state but in Michigan you need a helmet until your 18 (or so it reads on my Moped Drivers License)
