Did you get all the vinegar residue out?LOL. No,you're probably not getting good enough filtering and need to check first the petcock filter to make sure it's complete with no flaws.Then check the filter at the carb for integrity.Then clean out the carb immaculately and install an inline, very fine filter below the petcock.The only things I've ever seen get thru good filters is chemically coagulating substances.e.g. sugar or other crystalline minerals.Now I suppose if you didn't get all that vinegar out it really could get thru to the float bowl and wreak havoc.ALSO,I don't know what kind of float you have in your carb,but if it's one of those dark composite material ones and it's decaying,that could be it,too.
