AR50 BIG BORE KIT? WHAT CARB!

The Toecutter /

hi i bought an 80cc big bore kit for an ar50 and cant get it to run right, i have a 28mm carb on it at the moment, an ar80 has an 35mm carb on it, the reed block, is 14mm on an ar80 it is 18mm i know where there is an 80 reed block i can buy, i have tried up jetting my current carb and cannot power the kit, it will tick over fine, but when i try to put a load on it, it revs up slowly, and will not move hardly when i try to ride it, do u think i could get it to work if i put the 18mm reed block on? and upjetted it? rev 'n' rips suck, get ya self a geared bike!

Re: AR50 BIG BORE KIT? WHAT CARB!

I have an AR50 too!!! u really need a 35mm or bigger carb for your 80 kit otherwise you will be running crap and have a weak mixture which will run to hot and come to a sundden end (the piston will melt and stick to the cylinder). your best bet is to get a 35mm carb, inlet manifold and reed block. with a bit of porting you can see 12,000 rpm and a lot of RS 50's in your mirrors...
