scraped bottom of foot on moped -- photos!

It seems like all of my near spills on a moped originate from turning fast enough on loose gravel, let this be a lesson (to myself) and others. I know its not as bad as some other moped accidents but I just had to show some photos!

Mabie not for those that are faint of heart or something.

Groty. Gravel+moped+speed=massive pain. I hope you're putting antiseptic on that ouchie!

Yeeeech... icky. I took my first shower in a week today... all my scabs got all white and gooey.

I might look like death but at least I no longer smell like death.

That foot looks really gross--- I would slather the wound in neosporin or bacitracin and wrap it up for a couple of days

well as long as u enjoyed ur ride!

Re: scraped bottom of foot on moped -- photos!

I was meaning to ask what kind of shoes you were wearing ????

Re: scraped bottom of foot on moped -- photos!

I meant to mention that but it totally slipped my mind when I was posting. I was wearing sandals and I would like to state that wearing sandals can be pretty dangerous when mopeding.

Thanks for reminding me fred!

Are you sure you weren't "fire-walking" after the party?

always wear shoes when your speed is faster than you can run. :{)

hmmmmmm, something just doesnt add up, how come its the back of youe foot, if u was cornering fast surely itd be the bit behind ya little toe, and y cant you afford shoes?

Re: scraped bottom of foot on moped -- photos!

oh well, the high price of shoes have nothing to do with the fact that i was wearing sandals at the time

Re: scraped bottom of foot on moped -- photos!

wear boots if you can. army surplus are good.

Re: Shoes and Glasses

In my crash, I was knocked out of one sneaker and my glasses were thrown somewhere.

I've lost my shoes and my glasses. God help us all.

Seriously, though. Boots, laced correctly and tied, might have lessened the trauma to my lower leg.

Re: o-rings

I wear motorcycle boots. They are very comfortable for riding, look good, and will save your feet if something happens - although they rather suck if you have to actually pedal.
