<HTML>the flywheel comes off by taking the nut in the centeroff.the square hole a ratchet fits.the threads are left hand . to break lose you go clockwise.then pull the flywheel off. Dan</HTML>

<HTML>Hey tyler i have a motobecane 1976 50v. The nut on the magneto wheel has reverse threads and you will have to turn it to the right to get it off. The nut on the clutch is not reverse and when you get it off you will need a gear puller to get the clutch off. The decompression valve on top of the cylinder head is to release cylinder pressure. That will make it easyer to start the engine. To unstick the valve you will need wd40 or a simular lubricant and let it sit. By the way you may want to remove the cylinder head so you don't get rust in the combustion chamber.
