They don't really have a filter element per say. It will (or should) have a metal screen in the black airbox on the front of the carb. You could try cleaning that out if the box isn't sealed. Also, are you letting the bike warm up when you start it? It could just be quitting because it's cold. Are you engaging the choke?
ummmmmmm, the last time i checked it was still on the carbuerater...
and if you look around, you can possibly find one at a small engine repair shop.
